On This Day Elvis Felt So Lonely He Was Gifted A Writing Credit! November 10, 2025

On 10th November 1955 Elvis Presley attended the fourth Country Music Disc Jockey Convention in Nashville Tennessee. When he returned to his hotel after the Convention Mae Boren Axton played him a demo of a new song she had written with Tommy Durden called “Heartbreak Hotel”. Presley released the track as a single on January 27, 1956. It was his first release on his new record label RCA Victor. The song gave him his his first No.1 one pop record in the USA. It also reached number 3 in Australia and number 2 in the UK. As was common for the times Presley was given a co writing credit simply for agreeing to record the song.

Baybe is a new artist to me and a true artist as she plays every instrument on her songs. She is involved in the production of her music and live shows. She also works on all her design and branding. She is based in Nashville, Tennessee, and has been playing in a range of genres and bands over the years. Apparently she started her musical journey as a voice-over artist for children’s dolls. Now that is delightfully weird, right? Her new single “Pretty Gay!” has a feel of Billie Eilish and tiLLie about it, but it is totally BAYBE, It is a dark song about relationships and the track haunts you for long after you listen to it. I love it, do you?
