Are you ready for the second Mayhem Top 20 Song Chart We promised you this in the last Artist Top 20 and here it is! The inaugural Mayhem Top 20 Song chart. This month’s number one is a band that reached number 4 in the Mayhem Artist Chart for April 2022, but with their song “It’s Been A Pleasure” the Hazy Janes make it right to the top of the pile! There are a lot more oldies in this months chart, including Roxy Music and Gene. To complement those appearances Roxy frontman Bryan Ferry makes it to number 4 with his dark, brooding cover of Dusty Springfield’s 60s hit “I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself” and former Gene drummer and co-writer Matt James makes the top ten with his “Born To Rule” single. Ukraine is represented by two songs, so I guess this months chart is at least a bit topical. The oldest release on the list is “Something In The Air”, a 1969 UK number one from Thunderclap Newman at number 11. Eight of the artists who featured in the Mayhem Top 20 Artist chart for April also feature on this list. We would love to hear your thoughts on the Mayhem Song Top 20 Chart as we hope to make it a regular feature. Check out the complete list below.
